Tuff Trac® Electrical Grade safety matting protects personnel and equipment. The MIL-DTL-15562 specification covers vinyl switchboard matting and sheet floor coverings for use around electrical apparatus or circuits. The MIL-DTL-15562 specification is approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense. Tuff Trac® 7220-MEG switchboard matting and floor coverings are engineered to meet all requirements of MIL-DTL-15562 including updated standards listed in MIL-STD-1623.
Get the “thermoplastic advantage” with Tuff Trac® 7220-MEG switchboard matting. It is made with a combination of flame retardants and smoke suppressants to meet stringent flame and smoke density requirements for MIL-DTL-15562 per MIL-STD-1623. In addition, our production team takes extra care during processing to create a homogenous blend preventing unwanted air pockets, which may lead to poor electrical insulation properties. All rolls are marked on the backside with the specification and month and year of manufacture to assure compliance with MIL-DTL-15562 requirements.
Tuff Trac® 7220-MEG, Type I, sheet, smooth surface
Highly durable, marbleized, electrically insulating surface is typically used as floor covering for glue down installations in designated electrical areas such as high-voltage switchboard spaces, CCTV control rooms, power generation equipment and radar rooms for personnel protection against shock. Type I sheeting can be installed with heat or chemically sealable seams to create a watertight protective surface. This product is available in multiple colors with a high gloss finish supplied in standard rolls 36” x 25 yards. Matching color-welding thread is also available.
Tuff Trac® 7220-MEG, Type II, mat, runner type, smooth surface
Type II is designed for use in single strips as a portable mat on floors around electrical apparatus or on workbenches in electric work areas. Tuff Trac® Type II matting provides the same electrical insulation and fire and smoke resistant properties as our Type I products. This product is available in solid blue and green in 36” or black in 24” x 25 yard rolls. Note: Black is not authorized for use aboard submarines
Tuff Trac® 7220-MEG, Type III, mat, runner type, raised diamond surface
Type III diamond plate adds positive slip resistance to the other unique safety properties of Tuff Trac® 7220-MEG series mating. Designed primarily as a removable runner around electrical equipment or non-designated electrical areas where specific electrical hazards may exist, Tuf Trac® Type III mating provides personnel protection from accidental exposure to electrical potentials and sure footing from the anti-slip diamond embossed surface. Available in gray or green 36” X 25 yard rolls.
